Here at Ham South, we have a range of different ministries and homegroups to connect you in with, there's something for every age!

Parents & Babies

Our parents and babies room is located at the back of the Auditorium and is available every Sunday morning during the service. It is set up to accommodate for parents with young children (0 - 2 y/o), with a change table, microwave, heaps of things to play with and a TV with a livestream of the service.

Our kids church team is amazing. Every Sunday through the school term we meet together for games, bible stories, activities, worship and morning tea together. At least once a term we have a whānau service where we all worship together.
For more information, see Anna or email:

ICONZ is a fun adventure programme for boys aged 8-12 years. Our time together includes action, games, sport, camps, practical skills, discipline and Christian teaching. We have a great team of leaders and we encourage parents to come along and check it out.
We meet on Monday nights from 6:30 - 8pm at Ham South Baptist Church, and the cost is $3 per child (plus $1 for each extra child in the family). This term each boy will be making their own trolley in preparation for trolley racing events.
For more information, see Steve at church, or contact the church office:

The Southies meet at 5:30pm on Sunday nights in the youth room downstairs. Each Sunday we have dinner together (costs $4) and either discuss scripture, worship, or engage in community activities. Once a term we combine with other Waikato Baptist churches for a combined worship evening.

Our worship teams are coordinated by our Worship Facilitation Team. This team is responsible for worship in our Sunday Services, and work closely with the pastors. They develop the teams, organise the rosters, and look after our equipment.

Home Groups

At Ham South we have a range of different home groups that meet on various nights of the week. Some groups are grouped together by age and stage and others are grouped together around common interests.
If you're interested in joining a home group, contact Lucy and she will point you in the right direction!

Wider Church Gatherings

Coffee 4U
Every week a group meets together at church on a Wednesday morning at 10am to share coffee and fellowship. During this time, some members also bring along any craft projects that they're working on to work on them together.

Senior's Lunch
On the second Sunday of every month, we get together to go out for lunch after church. For more information, contact the church office:

Intercessory Prayer Group

Our intercessory Prayer Group is an open group who meet fortnightly to prayer for and intercede on behalf of our church. The time is dedicated to seeking the Holy Spirit, and allowing God to lead us as we pray for the church as Christ's body.
The Intercessory Prayer Group meets the second and fourth Tuesday morning of each month, from 9:30am to 11:00am (though sometimes later) and they gather at a private house.

Kingdom Living Ministry

This ministry is primarily concerned with equipping the saints. We firmly believe that as followers of Christ, it is God’s plan for us all to walk as Jesus did. (1John 2:6, John 14:12) Our heart is to release people into walking out their faith in the Power and Love that God supplies, and to do so wherever he has placed them. We seek to achieve this through a combination of practical biblical teaching on kingdom minded living, with opportunities to immediately apply learning. With a major emphasis on establishing an understanding of one’s God given identity, authority and mandate.
Kingdom Living meets at church and runs the second Saturday of every month from 2pm - 6pm.
