Need a space for a gathering or event?

At Ham South we have a range of different spaces available for hire, from meeting rooms through to our main auditorium and, for large events, such as weddings or funerals, we offer whole building hire. Scroll down the page for further information about each individual space.
Prices can be given upon contacting the office. Every booking will require a refundable bond to be paid.

You are always welcome to pop in and view our building during office hours, 9am - 12:30pm, Tuesday to Friday.

Hall

Our Hall is perfect for groups up to 100 people (seated). A great blank-canvas space, often used for church gatherings, birthday parties or community events.

It has a built in sound system (compatible with Aux and HDMI) and we also have trestle tables and chairs available for use. 

The Hall connects to our large deck area out the back of the building, through the side sliding door. The deck can also accomodate 100 people and has a gate across the stairs for keeping children safe. Our kitchen joins onto the Hall through a side door for direct access, and the kitchen servery can be accessed from the foyer, just outside the main doors into the Hall. Please note that use of the kitchen comes at an additional cost.

Downstairs Hall

The Downstairs Hall is a smaller hall, appropriate for groups of up to 5o people and it has its own external access door from below our back deck. This room also has chairs and tables available for use and it has a built in kitchenette, perfect for serving nibbles and refreshments. 

This room also has a medium sized corner couch in it, a TV mounted on the wall and a table tennis table (which folds flat to be pushed against a wall when not in use).

This room has two unisex toilets attached to it off a small adjoining room with an additional sink.

Meeting Room

The Meeting Room fits approximately 12 people. It has three large tables and wheeled chairs in it, however, the tables fold upright and are on wheels to be pushed to the side, or can be removed if you would prefer. This room also has a TV mounted to the wall. Perfect for meetings or small group gatherings.

Kitchen

Our Kitchen is large and fully equipped for catering.

It has a commercial oven and a large gas stove top with rangehood. We also have a commercial dishwasher steriliser and all crockery and utensils available. In the kitchen there is a standard size stand up fridge and freezer for food storage (please note that these are not empty, they do contain food stored for the church, but space is always available). There is also an automatic boiling water urn.

The kitchen has a servery that can be opened to connect to the foyer but the door can also be rolled down if you wish. 

Foyer

Our Foyer area connects to all the other areas but it also is a functional space that is suitable for groups of up to 30 people. Often used for coffee and craft mornings, small birthday parties or group meetings.

In the foyer space is a wall mounted TV, cafe style tables and chairs, and easy access to the kitchen. Please note that the use of the kitchen comes at an additional cost.

Auditorium

Our Auditorium is available to be hired for groups of up to 250 people (seated). The Auditorium is filled with church chairs and pews, however, groups can arrange these as they wish, as long as they are returned to as they were upon exit. (Photos to come).

The Auditorium contains a full sound system (available for hire along with a sound technician at an additional cost) and simple stage lighting. This area is regularly used for church services, weddings and funerals but is also suitable for school events, drama productions and many, many more functions. 

At the back of the Auditorium is a beautiful stained glass window which we light at night. There is direct external access into the Auditorium from the carpark, and direct access from the Auditorium onto our large deck at the back of the building (suitable for up to 100 people).

Trestle tables and other chairs are also available to be used in this space.

The 'Prayer Room'

This small space is perfect for music lessons or small meetings. It has a heater and a mini-fridge available for use.
